Tinsey Cottage is one of a group of four Victorian fisherman’s cottages dating from about 1850 and lying virtually at the southern end of the no-through lane to the village of Beesands.

At the front it looks out directly onto Start Bay, the sea being about 25 metres away and at the end of the mile long pebble & coarse sand beach, while the south west coast path passes immediately behind the cottage.

The cottage has been tastefully modernised to provide up to date facilities while retaining the charm of its Victorian past.

The entrance leads into a pretty sitting room with settee and two easy chairs, dining table, a wood burning stove, dresser and television.
The flat screen television receives Freeview programmes and has an integrated DVD player and iPod docking station.

The kitchen lies beyond the living room and has recently been re-fitted. Electric cooker, dish washer, fridge/freezer and bread maker are located in the kitchen while washer/dryer and microwave are in the utility room beyond it. The bathroom is downstairs and has a bathroom suite with Mira Sport electric shower over the bath and electric heated towel rail. A hairdryer is provided.

Steepish stairs lead to the bedrooms, one with double bed and armchairs facing wonderful, straight out to sea views across Start Bay, the second with twin beds.

There is an attractive, flower filled back yard with table, chairs and umbrella. Mentioned in “Best of Britain’s Holiday Lets” 2005.

The cottage is operated by its owners. We ask for a deposit of about 25% to confirm bookings with the balance payable not less than 30 days before the holiday begins. All electricity charges are included and bedding, tea towels (towels are not) and logs for the wood burning stove are provided. Parking is available immediately outside the cottage. Dogs are allowed by prior arrangement (additional charge of £15 per week) but not during July and August.
